Creative Director & Information Architect

2009 – 2013

I served as Creative Director, Information Architect, UX Designer and Web Developer at KeyLimeTie. As Creative Director, I directed the design team in the creation of interactive interfaces for websites, mobile applications, and other touch-devices. As Information Architect, I conceptualized and architected the structure and functionality of all websites and applications. As UX Designer and Web Developer, I designed user interfaces and developed optimized HTML5/CSS3 code to maximize the SEO value and user experience of interactive interfaces.

Additional responsibilities included mentoring and developing the skills of the design team, managing all tasks requested of the creative department, interacting directly with clients to ensure project objectives were completed as requested, providing estimates for RFQs, assigning tasks among the design team to guarantee timely execution of project objectives, maintaining consistent branding standards for all internal and external projects, and managing the organization of all design department materials.

Ellison Media Company

Senior Interactive Designer

2006 – 2008

I served as Senior Interactive Designer at Ellison Media Company in the creation of websites, email campaigns, and printed marketing collateral for both internal and external clients. I managed the entire lifecycle of interactive projects including websites and email campaigns from the initial stages of conceptualization and information architecture to the final stages of design, development and implementation. I also created printed and digital advertisements for client products and services, in addition to managing all internal marketing campaigns.

U-Haul International

Interactive Graphic Designer

2005 – 2006

I served as Interactive Graphic Designer at U-Haul International in the creation of printed materials, illustrations, and other graphics to be used in marketing collateral, product packaging at retail locations, and moving trucks and vehicles. Additionally, I created interactive interfaces for various marketing campaigns and promotional advertisements on websites and emails. I also implemented and supervised the operation of several vehicle decaling programs, and managed the presentation of trade show booth displays.

Bright Ideas

Graphic Designer

2003 – 2005

I served as Graphic Designer at Bright Ideas Promotional Products in the creation of illustrations and graphics for a variety of promotional items and advertisements. As Bright Ideas' only graphic designer, I managed all design department materials, implemented project workflows, and interacted directly with vendors to prepare artwork for various printing methods including offset lithography, imprinting, decaling, sandblasting, stamping, embossing, and embroidery. In addition, I also updated and optimized the company website and all internal marketing materials.

Featured Clients: The University of New Mexico, Presbyterian Hospital, and Sandia National Laboratories.

I own and operate Scorpio Graphics, a creative services business providing a wide range of services including user interface design, user experience design, information architecture, web development, graphic design, and identity & brand development. I own and operate Somebody's Fat, a redistribution business specializing in the purchase of liquidated or clearance merchandise and reselling these products directly to consumers and other third parties. A majority of these transactions are completed via eBay through a Top-Rated PowerSeller account. I manage all aspects of the business including merchandise procurement, advertising and sales, accounting, order fulfillment, and customer service.
